I'm being told that the DI function is not even compatible with the minnkota trolling motor transducer. So it sounds like it doesn't even matter if i like it or not....
You can mount a DI transducer on the lower unit of your trolling motor--that will provide both DI and 2D sonar on a DI unit.
Also, if you get

) G2N models and one is a MEGA SI/DI, you will be able to share MEGA Imaging view from the transom transducer over the network with the bow unit, regardless of what G2N model it is. Also a G2N model will come with Bluetooth capability and AutoChart Live with vegetation and bottom hardness mapping.
