Is the 2D not as good as the DI. Can you compare? If it's not good, wouldn't i be able to use transducer with the bow mount and not use the minnkota/trolling motor transducer?? Like i said, I am upgrading from "ancient" tools here so I appreciate the help.

you need to decide if you want the DI! on you tube there is a lot of info and you see both beside each other . and doug varenberg and the technologic angler have courses on you tube to help understand what you are viewing on the screen. it is a good way to see what you want and how much you want to spend !! there is almost no limit $$$$
