Cheapest and quickest to change the entire steering housing as a unit with guts and all. The gears crapped out in mine after 8 years of very hard use. Best to buy the 117 dollar complete steering unit and replace . It was working in one direction but making noise and now won't turn under power at all because the gears are stripped. I milked mine out for about a season and a half after it started making noise.
