Location: Tomahawk, WI		Im going to purchase a new trolling motor in the next few days. Im going with a Motorguide X5. Ive always used MGs and Ive never had an issue. Here is the question.
What size should I go with? Im already decided on a 24v motor but the X5 comes in 70# and 80# do I need to spend the extra money for 10# of thrust?
My boat is 17' long and it weighs 1700 with the motor.
