When my belt jammed up I had to manually stow it, that part was pretty easy. Obviously you can't use it anymore till it gets fixed. The belt and motor it runs thru get replaced, it was covered by the warranty no questions asked. Fixed in less then a week.works better now then when I first got it last spring 2015. Smooth going up and down used to jerk around a lot when deploying.
