You could mount the included SI transducer on the transom so that it is in the water while off-plane (fishing) so you get SI and DI then. Since these are lower speed sonar applications, it is okay if it is a little higher on the transom when paired with a thru hull transducer (XP 9 20) and transducer Y cable (AS SIDB Y). With this combo you will get high speed depth and quality SI and DI while fishing.
