Are the vent holes plugged? You're going to need to use plugs with holes in them on that prop. I'd start out with medium holes. You can accomplish nearly the same thing by pulling two of the solid plugs out to test it.

Even with solid plugs, the motor should not stall at idle. You're holeshot will be horrible, but it should not stall.

is your current prop aluminum?
