I am currently in the market for a tournament boat myself, and have looked over many catalogs and tested a few. But the one boat that caught my eye for not only price but speed, size, and overall performance was Patriot Powerboat. I am currently interested in a 1710 Tiller model for a couple of reasons, #1 the size of the deep V and how it is molded for speed and performance handling in big waters. These boats are designed to take on waves in salt water fishing, so if can handle the ocean, it can for sure handle the water of Minnesota. #2 - The transom is made in the shape of a "u" and made out of alumium, and wrapped in a process that makes it one of the strongest on the market. #3- Last but not least is the price, all the other boat manufactors have boats that are priced in the low 20's to high 30's, this boat with a 90HP max would run you no more than the mid teen's!!! So take a look on their website. I also have a great boat for sale and if interested write back, it is a great starting boat for a new muskie fisherman. So if you know of anyone that might be interested in a starting boat let me know. Thanks, Ben.
