Probably not important at the exact moment. But I would definitely supervise it for 10 minutes after you plug it in making sure it isn't getting damaged somewhere inside the cord you can't see. Half of the hotels I stay at have issues with the ground plug and gfi, the half that do I have a cord that I removed the 3rd prong which fixes the gfi from popping.
