It's really tight if you have the front seat in. I'm not a fan of high seats up front and left it out of my 1760 and have yet to try it on the 1890 but it's the same distance.

I believe it was rudy on here that did a mod with his 1760 seat base location. Moved back on to the rod locker lid. Might be worth doing a search to see if that interests you.
