The owner's manual states that accuracy improves with GPS signal as well as battery charge. The spot lock on my powerdrive V2 seems to hold pretty decent, but i guess i've never really tried to put a number on how far it'll drift away before returning. I always seem to have full signal as well tho.


I wonder if satellite acquisition at different locations has a lot to do with it. On Monday I was out in three foot waves with winds over thirty, and the Terrova performed flawlessly. Still, the Humminbird GPS seems perfect regardless of location. Suppose its a matter of the same manufacturer, but different technology.
