Subject: NMEA 2K network question and Point 1 antenna

First question:
So i just set up a NMEA network, and have a question regarding, the terminators, i
was wondering, why they want a terminator in both ends, seen several pictures of networks, where they use one end of the "back bone" to the power supply or attaching a unit. The system seems to work great with 2 T's and 1 terminator, with HDS 7, trolling motor and power supply plugged in.

Just wondering if there is something i am missing?

second question:
Anyway now that the NMEA works i was wondering what people think of the Lowrance point 1 antenna? fish quite i bit after dark, and would be awesome if the direction of the boat actually matched the true boat orientation
