Thanks much everyone. I took advice here and went to YouTube to get more information.

While running the boat during the weekend, I did have some water come from under the dash and onto my shoe. I wondered how that got there. Now that I know the speedometer is linked through a hose with water, I'm guessing that tube either broke or pulled away.

Hopefully I'll be able to crawl under there tonight and see what the deal is.
