Its not a pedestal seat. I will post a pic of it tonight but only wanting to raise it a few inches limits my options...

While it might not be the best option, how would a simple spacer work, screwed into the pedestal and also up into your seat? Easy to make...from treated lumber and you could make the lower portion small enough so as not be obtrusive??
