Has anyone found a way to "convert" their livewell and baitwell to dry storage compartments? I would like the ability to go back and use them as intended, but the vast majority of the time, I'd like them to remain dry for life vests/raingear and whatnot. It's a 2001 model if that matters. TIA

I have a 1996 hull and am scheduling an appointment with a dealer in a few weeks to re-do my actuators, valves, and insert new flappers to front and back livewells. Even when everything is shut off, it still takes in some water.......... bad rotten flappers are my problem.

Like the others say even when plugged you may still get moisture and mold in them. Even with a little water intake I've found its safe to store a few dock bumpers, boat care sprays, and misc. items in these compartments. I primarily use the large main livewell as storage for these items while the front deck baitwell gets all the fish.
