The mx series is not designed to be an awesome rough water boat, it's built to handle it ok and be very stable, the narrower the boat is the smoother it will ride but the more it will list when two big men are on one edge, skeeter has made the bottom width nearly as wide as the beam. That's why the 1825 sits above the fenders. Have you looked at the skeeter 1910 or 1850? They have a larger front deck, ample cockpit, full windshield, 150-200hp, narrower bottom, steeper v in the bow will make it smoother, more storage. The 1910 was a prime candidate to me but I can't order a single console so it lost to a nitro z8 that I must add has absolutely surprised the hell out of me in hefty waves. That takes a lot from me because I have ran two warriors that I felt like I could take on the ocean.
