Hey Greg,

I like the way you break this down and I agree with how you're thinking. A couple things I would suggest for fighting the wing is to get a Talon/PP and a Xi5/Terrova. I have a 17.5 tin boat and the Talon helped me immensely last year in keeping position in the wind. There were several days where the Talon made the difference between having a very successful day rather than cussing at the wind all day. The Xi5 will be new for me this year but everyone raves about the spot-lock.

Good luck with your purchase. I too would go with the glass over the tin.
