Find a better hardware store. That's pathetic.

If you have the approximate OD & & ID required for your application, I can't imagine that you can't find them in a decent hardware or auto parts store.

Nooo. I hate to spend $30 each to replace the latches when all I need is $5 worth of o rings to do the whole thing. Called a few auto parts stores. They all want to know which automotive part it fits so they can look up the right part number.

I asked the guy "Can't I just go through what you have, find the one I need and buy a bunch of them?" "Well, sir, we need to know what part it is for. Can I have the year make and model of your vehicle?"

It's a BOAT dude. Ranger. Not the Ford kind. Boat. You know, BWAAAA across the water?

*sigh*

This just re-enforces my belief that there are fewer and fewer people out there every day that actually know anything, or will take the 5 minutes to find out...
