| I've had mine get plugged a time or three, usually by weed fragments that get ingested by the impeller. The fragments seem to get stuck right at the fitting that connects the pi$$er tube to the engine block, which on my engine is a 90° elbow about 2 feet in from the end of the tube. I now keep a length of fairly stiff weed-wacker line in the boat, line that fits into the tube and is long enough to reach the fitting at the block plus enough to hold on to. A couple of rotations of the line after it's fully inserted is usually enough to clear the pi$$er tube. | |
