My old 1998 mariner was a 200 efi, started right up even after melting a hole in a piston. That motor made me not hate mercury any more. But I had a friends dads boat out and it was an 03 and it wouldn't start, till I found the choke. Oops. I'd suggest newer than 03 with efi, I love 2 stroke power!
