Optimax is a non-starter for me personally - too loud and smokey. Have been a Yamaha guy for last 3 boats over 20 years and they are bullet proof. That being said, if I bought an x-190 today I would seriously consider the Mercury 4 stroke 150. Nothing but raves about that motor, and plenty fast enough for this non-tournament fisherman.
