Our group that goes to Canada every year is about half Rams and half Fords. We tow a 19ft bass boat a 1750 Fishhawk a 17 ft ProV as well as a 16ft Alumacraft. When we fill up(all at exactly the same time) we put in almost identical amounts of gas. Usually within a gallon. The Rams have Hemi's and the Fords have Ecopoops.
We have one other guy towing a 18ft ProV on a tandem axle with a Ford. His mileage was quite a bit worse but his boat is much heavier than the rest.
I drive a Ram and towing my bass boat I usually pull 15 to 16.5 mpg on a long trip. Hope this helps.
