Yes and no...

I think if you put a 1760G and 681/618 VS side by side you'd see some differences. 618 being a little lower profile, faster hull (isn't), maybe less draft (isn't), wider side tank to lay rods out w/o gas fill (what if you could buy that boat with a removable side tank?) , etc.

Granted, there are some similarities. Maybe not different enough to justify cost of another model especially if they cover some of the same market. I get it, you don't want two models to overlap/cannibalize. I see enough differences though but realize I may be in the minority here... had to ask anyway ~
