Another vote for Sea Foam, 1 can to 20 gallons of gas. I just picked up a lightly used Mercury 5hp 4 stroke that sat for a while. While it runs it does not want to idle down, ran 1/2 can of sea foam in a 1 gallon can and ran it for 1-1 1/2 hours. Its not perfect on low idle but noticeably better. I will probably remove and clean the carb anyways during the winter, but it goes to show how good just running a heavy "dose" of sea foam did on its own.
