I'm not an owner but I when I was at a Ranger dealer, I was very impressed with the 1780. Extremely wide and roomy. With the flipdown rear deck feature, it makes a great fishing platform for both anglers.

Really wish the boat was 18' rated for a 150. The 135 is said to push it in the high 40s while the 115 is said to get low 40s. I have an internet friend who is getting one this fall and he is supposed to give me a review after he takes it out a couple times. If I were looking for a 17' deep V this is definitely the boat I'd get. If they made it in a 18' with a 150, it might be my next boat. Good luck.
