Well, I upgraded my electronics to Lowrance HDS Gen 2 and Gen 3 Touch units.  With that upgrade, I had to say goodbye to my LakeMaster mapping chips.

 Started researching my options... and gotta say.... the mapping chip situation is "off the charts" so to speak.  Holy confusing.  Nothing is compatible anymore... and the varying degrees of accuracy and detail are rather frustrating.

 So, those of you that have been running these units in WI, MN, and Ontario.... what have you found to be the best option in regard to a Map Chip?  I'm leaning towards just playing it safe with the Navionics Premium Hotmap North chip.... but feel that I'd be missing out on something "better".  What have you guys found to be the best option?
