The hull design on the bass is the pro v hull. Big improvement over predator hull. Also has spray rails, much dryer ride in big water. More freeboard also, only drawback to interior I can see is net storage (not that any boat I've owned was any better). I cant wait to see them in person myself. Bill

Ok, so let me get this straight... Is this really the same hull as the Pro V? It looks much lower profile to me. The Pro V does well in chop, how will this bass version do? And even though I rarely fish walleyes, will it troll as well as the original Pro-V?

My ASSUMPTION (you know where that gets you) is that it is exactly the same hull as the 1875 pro-V BELOW THE GUNWALES, and that the gunwales on the bass version are simply 5 or 6 inches lower to the water. If so, I think it should handle any waves that remain below the gunwales +/- exactly the same as a pro-v walleye boat, the only difference being the extra gunwale height on the walleye version.
Regarding trolling, the photos I've seen of it show the sides of the splashwell covered with carpeted deck. Here's a picture lifted from a different thread about this boat showing the covered splashwells. http://s218.photobucket.com/user/1BigEasy/media/Signs%20and%20such/...
These deck pieces may be removable (???) but it appears to me that they would interfere with adding a kicker motor. Seems to me that if you do enough trolling to warrant worrying about it that this isn't the boat for you anyway?
