My ipilot doesnt seem to hold the course when i set it on autopilot, have been disapointed with it so far, not sure if its me or the unit though..

anyone else have problems?

Are you positive that you're running it on the right settings? And by that I mean when you hit the gps button is there an arrow with an N above it with a circle around it? If there's no circle its set to just go that direction, whereas if you have the circle around it the unit creates gps markers along the way and its supposed to go to each point along the way, creating a more true line in windy/wavy conditions.
