Location: Lake Elmo, MN | Hard to tell much from the photos but it appears to be a slight bit deeper than a 521 with the same front end design (not size) of the 620/621.
It's a sweet looking rig BUT I disagree on it's potential BIG WATER characteristics, although I have no evidence either way.......purely speculative here. It has the hull of a bass boat (save the front end) which typically has a harder ride on waves. It is a bit deeper inside and that should help.
The biggest concern for me however would be the consoles. Bass boat consoles and big rolling water do not mix. A full windshield is almost a must-have on big (Green Bay / Lake of the Woods/ Erie etc) water.
The 620 / 621 line of boats is still in my estimation king of the hill for the big stuff. I'd own this Z522d rig if I fished the larger reservoirs of Arkansas, and Missouri, where there is still some skinny water I need to get up into....but needed a bit better ride for the days where the waves were a bit larger than normal.
