| I'm also going to email Humminbird this question, but figured I'd ask here as well. I have two Humminbirds, a 383c and a 859ci HD. I often take the 859 and move it from the front to back and vice versa since both units have the same power and transducer hook ups. What I was possibly looking to do on occasion was run both units in the back of the boat, the 383c for the sonar and the 859 for just the GPS. I don't want to do this all of the time though just for certain applications. There is only one transducer and set of cables mounted in the back of the boat and that would obviously need to be hooked to the 383 for running the sonar. So what I would need would be a power source for the 859, which I was hoping would be as simple as buying a cable that linked that two together so the 859 was essentially running off the same power source as the 383. The 859 would not have a transducer attached since it is only for GPS while running this way. Is this possible? | |
