The real value today of an extra 2 mpg is small.
Consider this trip. Assuming a gas price of $2.79/gallon , my savings over what my old truck would have cost me was only around $33. 20% fuel savings sounds good but in reality it takes a lot of miles to offset the extra option cost for the Ecoboost. I LOVE the engine (don't get me wrong). Simply LOVE it. But not for financial reasons. |
