I've had the Minn Kota DC charger since last year. It's a nice add on to have but it's not something that can fit in your back pocket. After I installed it about a year ago I think I only charged my trolling motors with my other charger two or three times all year.

It's a neat gadget to have but it's not something that is a "must have" unless you do a bunch of extended trips where access to a plug is not the greatest.
