Location: Antioch, IL | I will never mount a trolling motor without the quick release bracket again. Always good to keep your options open.
- As stated above, I have to remove my Terrova so my travel cover will fit. (same with my power drive on my previous boat)
- God forbid something goes wrong with the motor and needs to be serviced/replaced. Quick and easy to remove.
- My buddy has the same set up. If his motor goes down he can use mine or vice versa.
- Security reasons. I've seen direct mounted trolling motors stolen/cut right off the bow of a docked boat. (Can't steal it if I take it with me) |
