Location: Lake Elmo, MN | A heads up to all downloading Lowrance updates on a MAC.
I just found out the hard way after hours of trying to update the version 4.0 firmware on my HDS 10 Gen 2 unit.
For hours I was trying to get the 4.0 update to load to my Lowrance unit.....no dice. Then I read the HDS10 Gen2 unit cannot recognize the update and then load it, if downloaded using Chrome....only Safari.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE FROM LOWRANCE USING CHROME BROWSER!
If you use Chrome regularly, just switch over to Safari for this one download. Once you do that it will load to your unit perfectly. |
