Location: Minnesota		I had mine installed so I can't help you with the wether or not you need a extension. As for where to buy I get my gear from Thorn Bros. I deal with the owner all ways gives me the best price I'll shop around get a good price but I all ways end up buying from Thorn Bros. Shop around if store x selling for this much go see if store z will beat it don't hesitate to ask for a better deal.
