I would cover them in carpet. I staple the carpet to the bunks and bring my cordless drill to the ramp. Launch the boat, remove old bunks, replace with new bunks and hardware.


You can get Stainless Steel staples. Use them. Also, Marine stores sell the bunk carpet and glue.

When the bunks are replaced, and you are waiting for the carpet glue to dry, go catch a musky!
