| What I have not seen - and would be perfect IMO is:
A fold down casting platform with a boat seat mounted - but then individual flip up seats on either side of the seat post.
Think about it - the back person is fishing on the seat post...then you decide to motor up the lake 10 minutes to another spot, then later on another, etc.... most of us travel to multiple spots all day long. With the seat bench/casting platforms that I see out there, each time you want to move, you have to take the seat post off, mount it somewhere else in the cockpit, and/or flip the bench up. Then get to your destination, flip the bench back down, then pull the seat out of the cockpit base and back on the casting platform, repeatedly throughout the day. Gets old especially if you have seat posts that are stubborn to remove (aren't they all?).
Best option IMO would be to leave the bench down, leave the seat on the post....and then flip up an individual seat while the bench is down. This is not for a 45 minute ride across LOTW, but for the 5-15 minute location change without having to mess with removing the seat post and bench each time.
The recently discontinued Lund Predator kind of had this with individual flip up seats, but the casting deck itself was kind of small. Anyone know any options like this out there? Seems like a no-brainer to me but not sure it exists...
My other thought is the ESOX casting deck option - could this be modified to have the individual flip up seats on either side of the casting deck seat post?
