I went back to the Terrova for several reasons. 1. There is a service center minutes from my house. 2. I had two foot pedals with the Xi5 and broke all 4 tension springs by July. Some of the bushing and components didn't cooperate with the amount of time I spend on the water. For 99% of the people out there, the Xi5 will work great and you will have zero issues with them. I loved the motor itself. Quick, quiet, super fast turning speed. It's a great motor, I have just found that the Terrova is more suitable for the amount of days I spend on the water.
