I don't know about you guys, but I would take a chance with a possibly understanding warden, or judge, and go ahead and use the livewell. I would then anchor on the spot, record it, and clearly state my intent on it to save a big fish. I wouldn't complain about the new law, because the law was passed with the intent of reducing the harvest of big fish.
