I took my old iPad, bought a waterproof case, and mounted it on a bracket that goes on a pole in my rear deck's pedestal seat base. With Lowrance Gofree, that is now a nice 10" display for the guy casting on the back, or me if I'm trolling and on the back deck. Plus, since I use touch units, the HDS units can be controlled from that pad. At night 3 high intensity LED lites on the pole complement the installation, and with a remote control I can instantly bathe the water when I have a fish on in no/low light conditions. I fish alone most of the time, so it makes for much easier control, netting, etc. Also, now that I have the Xi5 Motorguide, I can control the route and other trolling motor controls from the tablet or HDS units.
