I have had similar problems with a Garmin and known other guys with similar problems. Could be several problems external to the unit.

In line fuse. Contacts could be oxidized a little and because of low voltage and current flow and it will act as an open circuit. Take it apart and clean all the parts. If that helps but it keeps happening replace the fuse holder.

Could be a bad ground. That is my current problem. Need to wiggle the quick connect on its terminal to be sure the ground is good. In my case it will last for a couple of months and then I will have to do it again. quick connect is tight but again the low voltage and current creates a problem.

Check all the plug ins on the back of the unit to be sure they are tight.

Electrical problems can be tough. Keep trying different things and eventually the culprit will come to light.
