This is very true. We looked at a boat that was priced at $9k. NADA valued it at $3k.
NADA doesn't even remotely come close to estimating costs of electronics, covers, chargers etc. The boat I looked at came with two HDS 7 with Structure Scan. NADA valued those at something ridiculous like $125.
You'll get a much better idea what stuff is actually SELLING for on Craigslist, the classifieds on here or on other fishing websites. Your gear is always worth what someone is willing to pay for it. The guides like NADA might put you in the ballpark, but they can also be drastically off as well. |
