Hiya,

I am also one to use a rubbing compound, but then back it up with polishing compound, polish, then a final wax so the surface is protected. Brings back the shine and smoothness to the whole boat as well, while reducing scratches, etc.

I use Mequires products and love it... Orbital waxer makes quick work of things..

This is what I do I tried the magic eraser and it dulled the gloss finish on that spot and I had to buff it to get the gloss back that was on a painted lund I never tried it on a glass boat.
+1. The eraser works great but be careful with it or you will burn through the paint or take the glossy out of it.
