| Dad bought his boat new in the mid 90's.. Every year we talk about putting a radio in it and every year we winterize it without a radio. I'd like to 'borrow' his boat one day and return with a radio installed. I am not too concerned with doing it as I've done more complex systems in vehicles in the past and am not new to 12 volt wiring.... But, I don't have the slightest clue what is out there... Are the 150-200 dollar combos with two speakers and a headunit a decent quality, or would we be dissapointed? Not looking to rattle the windshield and let everyone on the lake know what we are listening to BUT also don't want a radio that sounds like garbage.. The radio just needs to have AM and FM. We do not use CD's or Bluetooth, so those options are not important (though would imagine most decent quality stuff already has both and more anyways). What is a good compromise and price point to get into 'good' quality.. Any specific suggestions? Would prefer black as most all the other electronics, switches, etc are black and there is basically no white in the boat. Thanks.
