| I've got a Ranger 617 with a 150 opti on the back, so a similar setup to yours, but not exactly the same. I used to have a 125 merc carbed 2-stroke on it before the opti. I found that my two best props are a high-5 21P and a Tempest Plus 21P. Both are stainless. My 125 had a lazer 2 21P on it. The 24P stainless that you have would be way too much pitch for my engine to turn, so I'd be sort of surprised if it worked for your setup. Best thing you can do is test the on-water performance while keeping tabs on your engine RPMs for both the props. I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up finding that a 21P is the best pitch option for your rig. | |
