My current boat has a Suzy and I'm coming around to the 4 strokes growl. I would still say I prefer a 2 over a 4 though. You don't have to fog an opti at the end of the season. All I did with mine was put whatever stage merc gas additive they recommended for storage and run it into the motor. I never fog my 4 stroke. I wouldnt recommend it either. The amount of time these engines sit isnt long enough for them to corrode provided you change the oil immediately prior to storage AND do not run the engine afterward.
Run the motor, drain all fluids, replace fluids and filter. Put to bed.
Done this with my suzuki 150 since new and she purrrs like a kitten come March when I wake her up from her nap. |
