I have a old evinrude outboard, it will not engage into forward or reverse and the prop just spins as if it is not catching.

I am wondering if anyone has any knowledge on these motors and can help direct me to fix it OR is it too far gone OR is there a place near the twin cities that is a great repair shop

Any help is appreciated
