You've got an intermittent connection issue. Could be a couple things.
1.the switch itself. Contacts can corrode, or just wear out.
2. One of the connection on the switch. Are these crimp on terminals? Are the nuts tight and corrosion free?
3. You answered the fuse question.
4. Connection at the battery. If you are not losing your graphs when you crank the big motor, then I'd say your battery is still fine.
