Do you have access under the gunnels? If so, check out the rails used on Tuffy boats. They are secured with bolts through the gunnel cap. IMO, much stronger than the screws that secure the rails from the top.

You can call Tuffy and ask for Lori, I think. SWorrall, is she still the one?


I have a Tuffy, so wil check into this option as well.
