Jonnysled, I'm actually thinking about going from the electric steer back to cable so I can use the new 360 bow technology. Plus, I do a lot of night fishing and find the foot pedals of the electric steer to be a pain, particularly with heavy boots in the fall. Having both options like you describe is very appealing to me.
My question is: What do you do with the different plug-ins on the electric steer when switching out to the cable drive TM and vice versa? How do you make the switch without running two sets of wires thru the boat? Just curious how you have configured all the wiring to ease the transition between the two different kinds of TMs. Can you elaborate a little more on this?
BrianF.
both of my motors have the same power plug to the boat so no changing there at all. only nuisance is the transducer connection to the back of my hummingbird is "coupled" so i have to use the same transducer and switch it from one to another.
and you can say all you want but there are times that a cable is simply the best option … can't be argued. |
